Cardiff Capital Region brand
We were charged with creating a single marque to unite the ten local authorities that constitute the Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) – a newly formed body established to promote inward investment, future growth and an integrated transport network.
The core element references a 12th century heraldic design relating to the region. Stripped of overt complexity and pointing upwards the chevrons suggest growth, success and forward thinking – absolutely aligned with the values of the CCR. Turned clockwise through 90° they suggest a dynamic horizontal movement – an ideal match to the Cardiff Capital Region Metro.
In summary a single marque at the root of two, complimentary brands.
